The perfect picnic

A family picnic, full of sunshine, tiny giggles, and yummy donuts!

There's something so timeless about a picnic in a park. This adorable family made it that much sweeter when they showed up with a cozy blanket and a wicker picnic basket filled to the brim with cheese, grapes, donuts and croissants! With so many yummy treats within reach, it wasn't hard to get some genuine smiles from the littles.

The session started off under the canopy of a few big trees as they enjoyed their pastries. Within a few minutes they were off to explore the wonders around them, croissants in hand. I followed with my camera, capturing the wonder in their eyes. It was a slice of childhood magic.

We continued deeper into the park and found the water. I snapped some photos as they walked hand in hand, and a few more as they spent some time cuddling and watching the boats go by. Between the ducks gliding on the water, the rustle of trees, and the sound of tiny feet running through the grass.. it felt more like a memory than a photoshoot. And I was so SO lucky to be the one to capture it.

We ended our session with mommy and daughter appreciating the beauty of the floral arrangement they had brought, handpicked from her mother's garden. As they stood under a weeping willow tree, they took turns smelling the flowers as dad looked on.

The tiniest member of the family then alerted us that it was nearing bedtime. We waved goodbye as mom and dad carried their tired kiddos to the car and we parted ways.
